Formed in 1984, UQTTA currently has 9 international standard
tables, and runs regular practice sessions. It has made an impact
on both the table tennis arena and the University community in
south-east Queensland, Australia.
The club regularly participates in the Queensland Team Championships,
the Australian Universities Games, the Northern Universities
Games, and the South-East Queensland Pennant.
The club holds its own fixtures, and teams formed by our
players also compete in the fixtures run by the Brisbane Table
Tennis Association over the summer and winter seasons. Each year, the club stages a closed tournament
and two Open Championships.

Coaching
The coaching options provided by the UQTTA are listed
below.
Beginners group coaching - for players
interested in improving their skills and techniques
- Coach: Gavin Lane - Queensland A Grade player
Time: Sundays 1:00pm-2:30pm
Cost: $20 for 4 consecutive weeks
Advanced squad coaching - for players wishing to play at a
competitive level
- Coach: Eun Tae Kim - ex-Korean and Saudi national coach
Time: Sundays 1:00pm-3:00pm
Cost: $40 for 5 consecutive weeks
Individual coaching - for players interested in a private
coaching session
- Coach: Eun Tae Kim - ex-Korean and Saudi national coach
Time: Saturdays 10:45am, 11:15am, 11:45am, 12:15am, 12:45am
Cost: $23 for 30 minutes
- Coach: Andy Shih - Queensland
Under 21 No. 1 player
Time: Fridays 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
Cost: $20 for 1 hour
Competitions
The club hosts fixtures in first semester, individual tournaments
in second semester and a ladder competition throughout the
year. It sends representative teams to:

- Brisbane Table Tennis Association Fixtures
Membership
Membership Fees
Social membership is
required to play at the UQTTA. Additional membership may
obtained with Table Tennis Queensland for participation in
open tournaments.

All players are

for the use of our table tennis equipment in the form of
session fees. A member of QTTA may choose between the
